Morse Code 1.5

Приветствую вас, товарищи!     I don't have much to say so I'm gonna try to milk this as much as possible.  I continued to practice over breakfast, as I do.  I've got almost the whole alphabet down other than letters like F, L, G, W, and V.  I need to look over the digits again as I'm feel a lack of confidence in my digits, even though they are easy.  I plan to continue my flash cards until next week.  I'm certain I can finish the alphabet by next Thursday.  After that point, I will return to the trust MorseMania app.  I will suffer in the audible pain that is trying to discern  the difference of dashes that sound like dots and dots that are almost instant.  My breakfast has remained as raisin bran, but mini spooners and a slice of cheese has acted in an alterative.  Other than that, I have nothing left to say.  I will end my blog here.  Definitely  here.  I am not stalling to make my blog seem longer...

Morse Code 1.4

Minasan, kon'nichiwa     This week, I've have learned a valuable lesson.  With the three day week and no Genius Hour, I was thrilled to not have to practice my Morse code over my breakfast.  I enjoyed my usual raisin bran, but that was short lived.  Monday morning came and I sat down, ready to eat and practice my Morse code.  The problem was I had forgotten some of the letters.  I sat there, staring blankly at my flash cards thinking, "I know these." I learned skipping weeks is a bad idea.  Will I skip a week again if the opportunity presents itself? Heck yeah. Will I regret it later?  Of course.  This was a lesson learned but not utilized.       This week I've been practicing naming the letter of each dot-dash combination and vice versa.  I plan to try and have the alphabet memorized by the end of the week.  I will fight my brain, that doesn't want to practice less than five minutes after waking ...

Morse Code 1.3

Hola Amigos.     This week I have continued my practice.  I read over my list during breakfast everyday for this week.  My breakfast changed to poppy seed muffins as my mom stopped by Costco in Billings.  However, looking over my list made me realize my breakfast isn't what needs changed.  I had made the decision last week to learn the written language before learning the audible language, but looking at my list, I barely remember anything.  I pondered what I could change, then it hit me.      Maybe this idea was sparked by the opium in my breakfast, but my brain realized I needed the power of flash cards.  I will make flash cards with a letter on one side and the respective dot-dash combination on the other side.  I will continue practice over breakfast, which will probably return to raisin bran, mixing up the cards.  I can look at either side and be like "'--' is M" or "A is '.-'."  The power of these cards wi...

Morse Code 1.2

Howdy Partner.    I have continued to practice my Morse code.  During my morning bowl of raisin bran, I use my MorseMania app to practice while I'm munching away before school.  However, I've discovered that trying to learn audibly and written at the same time has proven very challenging.  My attempt to practice have resulted in me exclaiming expressions like "How is that an R?" or "What do you mean there were two dots!"  This issue has caused me to get a headache after ten minutes, and the trouble will only increase as the app introduces letters with four segments.     The dots and dashes are difficult to discern from each other and it is troubling to think "Was there one or two dots."  To handle this situation I've have changed up my practice methods.  I will not try to learn both the written and audible at the same time.  I will study the written version of the code until I have the complete alphabet memor...
